The Bel Air Downtown Alliance is pleased to announce Clare Dunn as the headlining musical act for the 2016 MD State BBQ Bash on Saturday, August 13. The MD State BBQ Bash will take place on Friday, August 12 (4-10pm) and Saturday, August 13 (12-10pm) 2016.
Provided by WXCY, 103.7 Country Radio, a BBQ Bash partner since the beginning, Clare Dunn is scheduled to go one Stage at 8:45pm on the second day of the two day event. Matt Gary, an up and coming country artist, will open for Clare Dunn on the Saturday evening. Long time participants Walk Ins Welcome will also take the stage on Saturday at 5pm.
The Alliance is also excited to announce that the Reagan Years will be the headlining band on Friday, August 12. Founded in 1996, The Reagan Years plays the greatest hits of the 1980s; a day when Ronald Reagan was President, M-TV first aired, CDs emerged, Acid Washed jeans were “Cool” and alternative music was called “New Wave”. Southern Charm will be the opening act for the Reagan Years and will kick off the music at the 14th annual MD State BBQ Bash. The full music schedule for the MD State BBQ Bash 2016 can be seen here.

Harford County MD’s most anticipated event of the year is the MD State BBQ Bash. The MD State BBQ Bash will take place on Friday, August 12 (4-10pm) and Saturday, August 13 (12-10pm) 2016. Named as Harford County’s “Best Event” in 2012, 2013, 2014 and again in 2015, the MD State BBQ Bash is a barbecue themed street festival featuring the Maryland State BBQ Championship, with more than 50 competition teams from the Mid-Atlantic area and beyond competing for $12,500 in cash prize and the chance to compete in the annual Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue in Lynchburg, TN and The American Royal in Kansas City, MO. In addition, more than 40 amateur teams will compete in the MD State BBQ Bash Tailgate Challenge to see who has the best ribs while competing for cash, prizes, and bragging rights. For more than 10 years, the MD State BBQ Bash has grown to be one of the largest, most fun, and most anticipated events of the year in Downtown Bel Air. Great food, great music, great people, the Maryland State Barbecue Championship and the MD State BBQ Bash Tailgate Challenge, have combined to create a tradition that we hope you will want to be a part of this year and in the years ahead.
The MD State BBQ Bash is free for the public and has regularly drawn nearly 35,000 attendees over two days. The MD State BBQ Bash is one of the most anticipated and exciting community events in Harford County, with a following throughout the Baltimore

Born on a farm in southeast Colorado near the Oklahoma panhandle, Clare’s roots run deep in the heart of Dust Bowl country. Working cattle, hauling water, drivingcombines, tractors and eighteen wheelers from a young age all were a part of everyday life. Touring, she has opened for Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, Colt Ford, Parmalee, Hank Jr., Jamey Johnson and others as well as played major festivals.
