Harford County’s most creative gift shopping event returns on Saturday, December 5 when over 30 local artists and authors set up shop together at the 4th annual Authors & Artists Holiday Gift Sale.

The now-annual event, which includes ongoing live holiday musical performances, takes place at the Bel Air Armory from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The list of performers includes the Bay Country Gentlemen, cellist Megan Beichler, and the Bel Air High School Jazz Band and Choir.

New this year, artists from the FCCAU Welcome One Shelter will participate as vendors, selling photography, repurposed furniture and framed jigsaw puzzles. The artists have pledged to direct all profits from the sale of these items back to the shelter.

Shoppers on the hunt for inspired gifts will discover paintings, ceramics, pottery, jewelry, photography, glass ornaments, prints, note cards, artisan gourds and hand-sewn fabrics. Harford’s authors cover most fiction and non-fiction genres including historical novels, suspense, genealogy, nature, fine photo journals, children’s books as well as local poetry. The Bel Air Downtown Alliance provides free gift wrapping for purchases.

Event sponsors are the Town of Bel Air, Harford County Cultural Arts Board, Center for the Arts, and the Bel Air Downtown Alliance. The event is supported by the Bel Air Cultural Arts Commission and the Bel Air Arts and Entertainment District.

Parking on the street and in surrounding town lots is free. For more information, call 410-638-5323 or visit www.belairartsandentertainment.org.
