Chocolate Creation Contest
Calling all those who have mastered chocolate dessert! Sign up for the Bel Air Downtown Alliance’s Chocolate Creation Contest held during the Chocolate & Candy Festival!
Registration deadline is February 26, 2016
- If you would like to enter our Chocolate Creation Contest, please complete the following form by February 26, 2016. (limited number of entries accepted)
- The dessert drop off (of 1 pie or dozen of cookies/cupcakes/brownies) will be on Saturday, March 5th between 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. (dessert must be registered and will only be accepted during these times)
- Please stay and watch the judging, while enjoying the Chocolate & Candy Festival!
- Judging will begin at 12:00 p.m. and the winner will be announced at 1:00 p.m.
The grand prize winner will receive:
- La Cakerie custom 2 tier cake that feeds 25 people ($150 value)
- Your recipe will be featured on our website and social media
Second and third prize bakers will receive:
- Tea by Two $25 Gift Card and Chocolate Infused Tea
- Your recipe will be featured on our website and social media
Any remaining desserts after the contest will be the property of the Bel Air Downtown Alliance.
By entering the contest, I give permission for my dessert recipe to be featured on the Bel Air Downtown Alliance website, as well as any other social media. I also give permission for any photos taken the day of the event to be used as promotional material both in print and digital formats.
Official Contest Rules:
- Entry shall include a single plate of chocolate dessert presented on a single, disposable plate. The plates will not be returned.
- Entry shall include the complete recipe (ingredients, measurements, preparation directions, baking time and oven temperature.)
- Desserts will be judged on Taste, Appearance, Uniformity and Creativity
- The contest is open to all area residents, excluding food professionals such as chefs and home economists who create recipes for pay. Bel Air Downtown Alliance employees and their families are excluded from entering.
- Registration: Fill out the form prior to February 26th. A contestant number will be assigned to you for your exclusive use. Please attach the contestant number to your dessert on the day of the contest as that will be the only method of identifying the contestant.
- The dessert drop off (1 pie or dozen cookies/cupcakes/brownies) will be on Saturday, March 7th between 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. (Desserts must be registered and will not be accepted before or after these times)
Winners will be announced immediately following the judging, as well as posted on Facebook and other social media.
