This year over 30 competition teams from the Mid-Atlantic area and beyond are competing for $12,500 in cash prizes and the chance to compete in the annual Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue in Lynchburg, TN and The American Royal in Kansas City, MO.
The MD State BBQ Bash will take place on Friday, October 9th from 4pm – 10pm and Saturday, October 10th from 12pm – 10pm. This is a rain or shine event.
All applicants must submit payment with their application. The committee will not review your application unless it is complete with payment. In the event of your application not being accepted, your application fee will be refunded.
Only space is provided. All competitors must provide their own tables, chairs and display materials.
Run and judged under the KCBS rules and regulations. This will include the 4 KCBS categories – chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket. Please refer to the KCBS website for the 2020 Rules and Regulations, which can be found here.
Check-in occurs on Thursday, October 8th from 6-8 pm and Friday, October 9th from 8am-1pm. Any vehicles parked in cooking spots must remain there from 1pm on Friday until 5pm on Saturday. Registration fee is nonrefundable.
5 amps of electricity is provided with every paid registration. To upgrade your electricity to 50 amps (limit 1 per registered team) please contact Jenny Falcone at email@example.com.
Per Harford County Government’s Electrical Permitting and Licensing Department, no generators are allowed.
